Choose from gentle woodland and countryside treks to exciting rides with long canters, plus full-day adventures, pub rides, afternoon tea, sunset and night treks.

Beginner & Short Treks

Adventure Treks

3 HOUR FOREST TREK

 

£100 per person 

 

Ride through the beautiful Derbyshire countryside and forest on a longer off-road adventure.

 

Riders must be able to walk, trot and canter, ride regularly and be physically fit.

A full-day riding adventure through the Derbyshire countryside.

 

Bring your own picnic - saddle bags provided.

Pub Treks

 

3 HOUR

 

£110 per person (includes pub lunch)

 

4 HOUR FOREST TREK

 

£130 per person

Ride out through the Derbyshire countryside and enjoy lunch at a local pub along the way.

 

Riders must be able to walk, trot and canter, ride regularly and be physically fit.

Afternoon Tea Treks (riders must be able to walk, trot & canter)

 

4 hours £125 per person (includes afternoon tea)

 

4.5 hours £140 per person (includes afternoon tea)

One to one Confidence Building Trek/Private Trek/Lesson

 

£90 per hour per person 

(Not available at weekends or school holidays)

(Suitable for all abilities, Teenagers and adults only)

(Held all year round - excluding school holidays)

 

 

Sunset Treks

Prices per person as follows:

1 hour       £65 


1.5 hours  £75  

Sunset treks operate only in the months where the sun sets between 4.30pm -7.30pm

(Suitable for adults able to ride independently at walk and rising trot & experienced riders)

 

Night Treks

1 Hour per person £65

Suitable for adults & Teenagers able to ride independently at walk and rising trot & experienced riders.  (Held on specific dates between end October and January).

 

PLEASE NOTE:

If you are not truthful about your riding ability you may be refused to ride or put on a 1 hour trek and no refund would be available.

 

Last minute bookings (on the day booking) will incur a surcharge of £5 extra per person.

 

Any tuition required for beginners will be included within the hour's trek and not in addition. 

 

Treks of 2.5 hours or more require full payment upfront via bank transfer to secure a place which is non refundable. 48 hours notice is required to rearrange.

Derbyshire Trekking Centre has a range of horses and ponies suitable for all age ranges and abilities. 

 

All our horses are well trained and all have impeccable manners and our excellent friendly staff are on hand at all times to ensure your experience at Derbyshire Pony Trekking is the best you can get.

 

We are renowned for building the confidence of nervous riders constantly making them feel at ease by ensuring that we go at their pace..

 

Please Note:

 

Please arrive half an hour before your ride so that we can match you to one of our carefully selected horse /ponies.

 

Footwear: For your safety and comfort we recommend that you wear suitable footwear i.e. preferably boots with a smooth sole and a low block heel. Please check our frequently asked quesions tab for more information

 

Clothing: Clothing should be loose fitting and comfortable. Waterproofs and gloves are advisable. Riding Helmets are provided, you are welcome to use your own helmet providing it complies with the current British standards.
