What we offer

Here at the Derbyshire Pony Trekking Centre we cater for all levels of experience. If your dream is to take a steady trek through picturesque woodland or to experience adrenalin filled fast pace treks with long canters, we can fulfill all your dreams.

Trekking Prices From 1 February 2024

£35 per person - 1 Hour - suitable for 4 years upwards and complete beginners

£45 per person - 1.5 Hours - suitable for adult beginners (able to ride independently at walk and rising trot) to experienced riders

£55 per person - 2 Hours - suitable for adult beginners (able to ride independently at walk and rising trot) to experienced riders

£65 per person - 2.5 Hours (riders must be able to walk, trot & canter)

£80 per person - 3 Hours Forest Trek (riders must be able to walk, trot & canter and be physically fit)

 

PLEASE NOTE:

If you lie about your ability you may be refused to ride and no refund would be available.

 

Last minute bookings (on the day booking) will incur a surcharge of £2 extra per person. Any tuition required for beginners will be included within the hour's trek and not in addition. 

 

Pub Grub Treks (includes pub lunch)

One to one Confidence Building Trek/Private Trek/Private Lesson

£65 per hour per person

(Not available at weekends or school holidays)

Sunset Treks

Prices per person as follows:

1 hour - £45
1.5 hours - £55
2 hours - £65

Sunset treks operate only in the months where the sun sets between 4.30pm -7.30pm

Suitable for adult beginners (able to ride independently at walk and rising trot) to experienced riders

 

Night Ride

Prices per person £45

Suitable for adult beginners (able to ride independently at walk and rising trot) to experienced riders

Derbyshire Pony Trekking has a range of horses and ponies suitable for most age ranges and abilities. 

 

 

 

 

 

All our horses are well trained and all have impeccable manners and our excellent friendly staff are on hand at all times to ensure your experience at Derbyshire Pony Trekking is the best you can get.

 

We are renowned for building the confidence of nervous riders constantly making them feel at ease by ensuring that we go at their pace..

 

Please Note:

Please arrive half an hour before your ride so that we can match you to one of our carefully selected horse /ponies.

Footwear; For your safety and comfort we recommend that you wear suitable footwear i.e. preferably boots with a smooth sole and a low block heel. Please check our frequently asked quesions tab for more information,

Clothing; Clothing should be loose fitting and comfortable. Waterproofs and gloves are advisable. Riding Helmets are provided at cost of £1 per person and High Visability vests £1 per person. You are welcome to use your own helmet providing it complies with the current British standards.
